One of the simplest modifications you can do to your car is to replace the standard air filter, it will fit into the same air filter box so there is no need for any tools and it will be very discreet so no one will be able to tell unless they take the top off of the filter box!
A common mistake that many people fall for is to completely remove the air filter, this is one of the stupidest things you can possibly do. The air filter is designed to prevent dust, dirt, leaves and any other foreign objects from reaching sensitive parts of your vehicles engine. If these were to get into your engine they would make the engine wear faster or un-driveable in some cases.
You also have to be careful about buying the cheaper air filters as they may lack in quality and begin to deteriorate faster than a normal filter and start to let dirt, dust, etc into your engine management system so you should always keep an eye on it.

First off you need to unclip your existing air filter box by locating the clips on each side exposing your air filter. |
| Lift the cover being careful not to strain any of the wiring as this could potentially leads to faults in the air flow. Take out the old air filter and place it to one side, it’s always best to keep it safe in case you decide to put it back in. |

Once you have it out you are recommended to clean the filter housing with a damp cloth. Take your time to ensure that no water or dirt goes into the engine. |
| Make sure you read the instructions before you place your new air filter into your car as some filters require oiling in order to get the full potential and to guarantee that it will work as intended. If you fail to follow these you could end up with having similar results to not having one at all. Never try to force it or cut it so that it fits in or this would create gaps allowing foreign objects to bypass the filter. Once you have it in place secure the lid back on with the clips and you’re all done. |
